OUR PROGRAMS
At Shoofly, we run four programs under one roof.
Olympic Weightlifting, developing raw strength and technical precision; Boxing, focusing on explosive power and sharp technique; the Power Program, built on the big lifts for athletes chasing optimized strength; and Youth Strength & Conditioning, establishing the foundation for the next generation of athletes.
Different disciplines, the same team
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Strength and precision are the foundation of elite performance.
We train as a team, supporting every member. Whether you're grabbing a barbell or lacing up your gloves for the first time or a seasoned competitor. We are all on a different path.
Whether you are looking to improve your conditioning or getting ready for the ring Shoofly Boxing Club is focused on mastering the fundamentals of speed, precision, and defensive positioning.
USA Weightlifting sanctioned Club since 2015, Shoofly Barbell is focused on building technique first. From ages 6 and up, our athletes train for health and wellness, or to step onto the Nationals Platform. With multiple State Champions, State Records, National Medals, National Champions, and American Records, your goals are our goals.
TOTAL STRENGTH
Built on Squat, Bench, and Deadlift for athletes chasing raw strength and power. Training follows a powerlifting-style approach to programming and technique, with a focus on progressive overload and hitting new maxes safely. Whether you're new to barbell training or already chasing bigger numbers, this program builds the strength foundation everything else is built on.
Built for the next generation of athletes. We develop power, strength, and explosiveness through age-appropriate coaching, giving young athletes real exposure to the lifts and movements they'll see at the next level. It's where athletic foundations get built early, so the transition to competitive sport feels natural instead of overwhelming.

COACH STREET
Amanda Street grew up in southern West Virginia, where her father, a standout boxer and multi-sport athlete taught her to box, pass, catch, and tackle. She played basketball at Shepherd University before moving to Raleigh for grad school, where she picked up rugby and was recruited to the U.S. Women's National Rugby Team, competing internationally for four years. After interning at the U.S. Olympic Training Center and coaching strength at UNC-Chapel Hill, she retired from rugby in 2014 and opened her first gym.
Since then, she's coached and competed in Olympic weightlifting, CrossFit, and boxing. She's a USA Boxing Bronze Level Coach and USA Weightlifting Level One Coach, bringing a well-rounded, athlete-first approach to every session.
